A talk by Graham Chambers

From 1973-1975 Graham Chambers was part of an 18 man (no women) research group that was based at Halley 3, a British Research base in Antarctica located about 500 miles from the South Pole. His book and this talk is based on his experiences in the Antarctic where he worked as a meteorologist. Each story is based on real events - give or take a bit of poetic licence and with the limitations of human recollection. Now retired, Graham Chambers formerly worked as a linguist and editor. He grew up in Middlesbrough and currently lives in the Algarve.
