Concert for piano and violin with music by Beethoven, Kreisler, Kodaly, and Brahms
After the superb concert with Duo Edan in February this year I am delighted that Édua Zádory will be returning to play at Quintinha da Música. Their programme includes Beethoven´s Spring Sonata in F Major, Kreisler´s Liebesleid and Liebesfreud, the Adagio by Kodaly, Brahms´ Sonata number 2 in A Major and his Hungarian Dance number 6. Edua and Irene will also present this programme twice in Lisbon, first on Tuesday 17 November at the Hungarian Embassy and then on Wednesday November 18 at the Austrian Embassy.
Édua Amarilla Zádory, (or glistening moonrise in Hungarian) was born in 1974 in Kecskemét in the south of Hungary. At only seven years of age, Édua already displayed outstanding talent on the violin. After studies at Franz Liszt Musikhochschule, Édua formed the "Eszterházy Trio" and has performed with the trio all over the world. Since 2005, she has performed with the Hungaria Piano Trio and her professional music life is now centred in Vienna. In 2009 Èdua Zádory with Anastasiia Dombrovska won first prize at the prestige Gaetano Zinetti international chamber music competition in Verona. Édua Amarilla Zádory plays a masterpiece of a violin dating from 1801 and crafted by Joseph and Antonio Gagliano.
